The Grounded Part of Me
Before my life cracked open, I spent years in the trenches of the human experience. My résumé includes:
- Correctional mental health (clinical services + program creation)
- Crisis response teams
- Hospice and end-of-life work
- Substance abuse counseling
- Community mental health
- Private practice
- Suicide prevention training
- Supervision of clinicians
- 19 published mental health articles
I know trauma.
I know the nervous system.
I know what it looks like when someone is barely hanging on.
And I know how to sit in the darkness without running.
These experiences didn’t just inform my work — they shaped the lens through which I now write, teach, and make meaning of my own life.
The Mystic Part of Me
I’ve always lived with one foot in the everyday world and one in the world beneath it. I was raised with an animistic sense that everything has a voice — rocks, trees, storms, silence. My life has been a dance between intuition and logic, between what is measurable and what is felt.
I don’t talk about this as magic.
I talk about it as awareness — the kind you develop when you’ve lived through enough to stop pretending you don’t know what you know.
I believe in guides, in synchronicities, in conversations with nature, and in the subtle science of the body’s “yes” and “no.”
I believe the soul communicates quietly long before the body screams.
And I believe modern people are starving for this kind of connection — not fantasy, but presence.
Why I Write
I write because I’ve lived inside systems designed to break people, and I’ve watched the human spirit rise anyway. I write because collapse taught me more than stability ever did. I write because healing is not a straight line — it’s a spiral, a wilderness, a conversation with something older than fear.
My book, When the Mystic Meets the Ground, is the story of my own falling apart and the truth, science, and spirit that helped me rise again. It’s for anyone who feels like they’re breaking — and secretly senses they’re waking up.
Walk With Me
Let’s Do This Together!
If you’re here, something in you is shifting — maybe quietly, maybe loudly. Maybe your truth is whispering. Maybe you’re tired. Maybe something inside you is ready for a life that feels like yours again
Wherever you are, you’re not alone.
This space is for the ones who are awakening in the middle of their unraveling
Life In The Wild
This is my Balto, light of my life and most loyal dog ever. He grew up running on rocks with me and I am so grateful for him in my life at this time.
